Certified Financial Contractor (CFC) Status

CFC status is recognised as an award that provides a vital indicator that the contractor subscribes to the highest professional standards, has relevant experience and passes IFSCA’s fit and proper test.

The status enables the contractor to join an elite group of contractors and will have a considerable competitive advantage against those who have not achieved this professional standard.

Existing or new clients will be re-assured by the status that they are hiring a professional and experienced contractor and provide satisfaction to their regulatory requirements.

Who can apply for CFC status?

There are no restrictions to who can apply for CFC status, although previous contracting is required for a minimum of 2 years.

Financial services contractors can specialise in many areas and some may only have a close relation to Financial Services, however, we only require that the contractor can demonstrate a relationship to Financial Services.

What is the eligibility criteria?

To apply there are the following requirements:

• Contractor experience of the last 2 years which can be referenced, must include at least 2 contracts.
• At least 1 contract must have been while being an IFSCA member.
• Agreement to adhere to the IFSCA Code of Conduct and Ethics.
• Successful references from all previous contracts for 2 years. (Referencing undertaken by IFSCA)
• Successful credit check.
